Photos of Brazil to Use on Your Desktop or Zoom Backgrounds

In times of self-isolation and uncertainties, we all need to work together by staying at home, and sending positive vibrations to our dear planet earth, as well as fellow world citizens.

At the same time, we all know how difficult and disheartening this time can be, so here at Viare, we decided to brighten your day a bit, and have gathered some amazing photos from some of our favorite destinations in Brazil to make your computer desktops look dreamy, or to share as backgrounds for your never ending Zoom meetings – this way you can work in a different, tropical and exotic environment!

Using these backgrounds, you and your work colleagues will be able to unwind a little bit of the tension and perhaps start dreaming up your next trip?

To use as a desktop photo, all you need to do is download the photo of your choice and add it as your desktop background. Here are instructions for Windows, and Mac.

Continue reading this post to learn how to use these virtual backgrounds on Zoom, which can be a bit trickier.

Uploading Zoom Backgrounds

Step 1: You will download the .png file of your choice from this folder: Desktop and Zoom Backgrounds. We have also included the individual photos with descriptions of the destinations so you can tell all your friends, family and coworkers about it, when they ask about your background!

Step 2: After you have downloaded the background of your choice, open the Zoom platform and once you’re logged in, entre “Settings”

Step 3: Once you’re in settings, find the “Virtual Background” button > Upload our background photo that you previously downloaded > Choose your background. Make sure you remember to unmark the “mirror my video” box. This last step is very important, or else the image will be backwards!

And there you go, in just 3 steps you and your colleagues will be able to enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes of Brazil and hopefully when this pandemic ends you will get to visit these places in person.

This is one of the ways we thought we could bring a little bit of fun and amusement to our clients during these trying times. We send our kind regards to all and hope that soon we will be able to plan new trips full of culture, history, and lovely experiences and adventures.

Stay home and stay safe!

Descriptions of the Photo Backgrounds

Teresópolis – Rio de Janeiro

This city in Rio de Janeiro is an example of ecotourism and rural tourism, it is known by the National Park- Serra dos Órgãos and is one of the most peaceful cities in the entire state. If you are looking for a more quiet and relaxing place, but still full of adventure and terrific landscapes, Teresópolis is the perfect place, besides that there are amazing culinary itineraries in Teresópolis!

Pantanal – Mato Grosso do Sul

The Pantanal, a sought after destination, is one of Brazil’s most famous biomes –  the largest tropical wetland area in the world. This destination is for people who love exotic animals, and a unique experience. Be prepared to see several different animals and breathtaking landscapes!

Curitiba, Paraná

Curitiba, located in the South of Brazil, is the capital of Paraná, unlike the other destinations of this post, Curitiba is slightly different. If you are into a more urban kind of tourism, Curitiba is a great place to visit! The museums, architecture and botanical gardens are all part of the city’s design.

Chapada Diamantina – Bahia

Chapada Diamantina, Bahia is a spectacular place. It is a mountain range area and is part of the Protected Environmental Areas. The most famous tourist spots are eco related, such as the National Park, waterfalls and the beautiful blue cave, this way it is obvious that the nature lovers will adore this destination

São Sebastião, São Paulo

When you imagine São Paulo you probably imagine the big city lifestyle, right? Well, São Paulo is not just a city, but it’s also a state, and in the state of São Paulo there are lots of beautiful beaches, São Sebastião is located in the Southeast coast of Brazil and is one of my favorite beaches of the state.

Serra da Canastra, Minas Gerais

Located in the Southeast of Brazil, Minas Gerais is a state full of history, culture, culinary heritage, and outstanding landscapes! Serra da Canastra is another Brazilian National Park, and probably one of the most famous ones in Brazil. The view and the waterfalls are amazing, and perfect for a relaxing and renovating trip.

Rio Negro – Amazon

No trip to the state of Amazonas is complete without a boat trip on the Rio Negro. The massiveness of the river, beautifully dense and dark waters, and untouched forest surrounding the river are magical, and not to be missed on a trip to Brazil.

Alter do Chão – Pará

Alter do Chão is a destination in the Amazon for those who admire nature, and love new experiences and learning about different cultures. It is located in the state of Pará, near the Tapajós river. This destination is known as the “Caribbean of the Amazon,” for its freshwater, pristine “beaches.”

Praia Tabatinga – Paraiba

One of the most underrated destinations in Brazil is Paraíba. This beach is about 30 km from the state’s capital – João Pessoa. The beach has warm, green waters, and red clay cliffs surrounding its shores, with a river outlet in the middle of it, so you can choose whether you want to swim in the ocean or freshwater!
